Kydex-Sheathed Ferro Rod Fire Starter

A fire starter is useless at the bottom of a pack. This one comes in a moulded Kydex sheath with pre-drilled holes, so it bolts onto a knife sheath or a belt loop and travels where your knife travels — which means it is on you when you need it, not in the tent. The rod is scraped with a knife spine or striker to throw sparks.
